How to Get the Most Out of Your Service

Bring inspiration photos you’ve found online, pictures of a day you felt prettiest, ideas of hairstyles you are considering. We highly recommend exploring Pinterest or Instagram and building a mood board of ideas you’re excited to try. All of these are ways for you and your artist to determine your likes and dislikes.
Make sure to have clean product free skin (light moisturizer before is fine) and clean detangled hair. This will allow the professional to quickly assess your skin and hair care needs. Be prepared to discuss any allergies or sensitivities and products you use.

We understand the importance of having a beauty team that you can trust to execute your dream look. Asking questions during the trial is a great way to relieve some of your jitters, especially if you are a person who panics at the idea of someone else getting you ready.

When booking a location for your bridal trial make sure to select a space with lots of natural lighting or windows. Your space should also have plug in accessibility for additional lighting and hot tools. Communicate with your artist prior to your appointment if you require additional lighting. Your artist will need space for directors chair and table, when countertop space isn’t available. Lay out your vail or hair accessories prior to your artist arriving as well as any products you wish for them to use.

Having a proper skin care routine for your individual needs and healthy eating habits will help to improve the skin from within giving your artist a perfect canvas to work on. Communication is key
Having good communication with your Key Artist can make or break your service experience. You want to know that you are always on the same page with your mutual expectations, your esthetic and general vibe. Following the trial, if you find that you’re not completely satisfied with the look, here are ways to communicate with your artist regarding your concerns.
Firstly, be completely transparent with your feedback, politely, of course, but do not take this as a time to be shy. Your artist is prepared for this and needs to hear any of your concerns. This will allow you both to determine if the suggestions are simple fixes to be noted for the big day or if a retrial maybe necessary. Remember the trial is all about experimenting with options, as well as, determining if your artist is professionally and socially a good fit. You shouldn’t panic or consider switching artists without having first communicated with your artist. They will be receptive of your concerns and will provide solutions, either in the moment or on the wedding day. It is best to speak up and have open and honest communication so everyone is happy with the result.
Its also totally okay to change your mind following a trial you were absolutely happy with. Maybe you looked back at your trial photos and decided you wanted a more dramatic lash, or a change in lip shade. This is totally normal and happen more often then you think. Just let your artist know, to confirm they can accommodate. For example, you specifically saw a lip combo on TikTok and fell in love. Make sure to ask if your artist carries those products.
