Our Pledges

  • As an LGBTQ+ affirming business

I’m committed to learning and growing to meet the needs of marginalized groups so that self care is not a luxury reserved for the privileged few. Everyone deserves access to quality salon care, and Faces by Amelia exists to play a part in making that happen.

  • At Faces By Amelia, we are committed to fostering an inclusive culture and creating an environment that actively welcomes, connects, and values all while ensuring no harm is done. In alignment with our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), we pledge to uphold the following principles:

    # 1. Inclusive Culture

We are dedicated to cultivating an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity and encourages a sense of belonging among our team, clients, and community. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and respected, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, ability, socioeconomic status or any other aspect of their identity.

    # 2. Welcoming and Connecting

We aim to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all individuals. Whether it be our team members, clients, or partners, we will treat everyone with kindness, empathy, and respect. We actively seek to connect with individuals from various backgrounds and foster meaningful relationships based on trust and mutual understanding.

    # 3. Valuing Differences

We recognize that differences in identity, perspective, skill, and style bring richness to our work. We appreciate and value the unique contributions that each team member and client brings to our business. We are committed to creating opportunities for diverse voices to be heard and ensuring that a wide range of experiences and perspectives are represented in decision-making processes.

    # 4. Equity in Practices

Equity is at the core of our business. We strive to create a level playing field by ensuring fairness, impartiality, and equal opportunities for all. We are committed to examining and addressing any systemic barriers that may exist in our practices, including recruitment, pay, promotions, and allocation of resources. Our goal is to foster an environment where everyone can thrive and succeed.

    # 5. Continued Individual Growth

As professionals, we are committed to our own individual growth. We recognize the importance of continuous learning, both to enhance our skills and to deepen our understanding of others. We embrace opportunities to expand our knowledge, challenge our biases, and engage in ongoing self-reflection. We actively encourage and support others in their own personal and professional growth journeys.

Through this DEI pledge, we guide our actions and decisions as we strive to build a business that not only provides exceptional mobile hair and makeup services but also acts
